Terms & Conditions
General
1. Bodrugan Barton is the trading name of Bodrugan Barton partnership - TJ and SA Kendall, registered at Bodrugan Barton, Mevagissey, Cornwall. PL26 6PT.
2. Customers renting property through Bodrugan Barton are referred to as ‘the Guest’
3. The owners of Bodrugan Barton are referred to as ‘the Host’
Duration and Times of Rental
1. Rentals are for a maximum of four weeks and commence at 3.00pm on the first day of the rental and end at 10.00am on the day of departure unless otherwise notified. This period is hereafter referred to as the ‘holiday’.
Deposit and final Payment
1. If a booking is made eight weeks or more before the holiday is due to start, a deposit of thirty per cent of the rent is payable
2. If a booking is made less than eight weeks before the holiday is due to start, the full rent, plus any additional charges, must be paid at time of booking.
3. Unless otherwise agreed by the hosts in writing, the price of the holiday shall be the rent of the property as set out on our website at the time of booking.
4. Unless subject to condition 6, as soon as the booking is received and accepted by the Host, the Guest is liable for payment of the balance of the rent, along with any additional charges
5. Payment of the rent is due eight weeks before the start of the holiday (due date) and non payment may be treated as a cancellation.
6. If payment is not received by the due date, then the Guest will lose their booking and the deposit will be forfeit.
7. The due date will be set out on the booking confirmation.
Changing a booking
Once a booking has been accepted by the host, the booking can only be changed providing the preferred property is available for the required dates and the host is happy to change the booking. There will be a charge of £15 + VAT to change the booking. If it is not possible to change the booking the terms of cancellation will be applied.
Cancellations
1. A Guest who wishes to cancel the holiday must notify the host in writing ie’cancellation notice’. Cancelled bookings will incur the total cost of the holiday. The host will try to re-let the accommodation and if successful 70% of the cost of your holiday will be refunded to the guest.
2. Guests are strongly advised to take out cancellation insurance to cover this eventuality.
3. The deposit is non-refundable.
4. The Hosts reserve the right to refuse any booking or to cancel any booking already made subject to the host refunding any monies in full paid by the Guest .
5. The hosts reserve the right to terminate the holiday if the Guest or any member of the Guest’s party are believed to be creating a nuisance to other guests or are not treating the property with due respect. Bodrugan is a peaceful holiday location.
6. The cottage must be left in a clean and tidy condition – equipment and cleaning materials are provided by the host.
7. Any articles that are damaged or broken or lost must be paid for –simply talk to the Host who will deal with this.
8. The Host shall not be liable to any guest or member of the Guest ‘s party for any loss or damage howsoever caused.
9. There must be no more members in the Guest’s party than the cottage is designed to accommodate.
10. The Hosts reserve the right to enter the property during Guest’s holiday.
11. The Hosts reserve the right to cancel any booking if it subsequently transpires that any of the above mentioned conditions have not been observed.
Eligibility
Bookings will not be accepted from groups of single people under the age of 25, neither will they bookings be accepted from all male or all female parties of more than three people unless for a specific activity holiday arranged with the Host.
Non – availability of property
If for any reason beyond the Hosts’ control the property is not available on the date booked or the property becomes unsuitable for holiday letting, all rent and charges paid in advance by the Guest will be refunded.
